My mother was the most loyal red sox fan i ever knew.  She died never seeing the red sox win the world series.  My father was an avid yankee fan. every sunday we suffered thru endless ball games, he and my mother routing for rival teams.  My husband likes the dallas cowboys-his heart is broken every sunday as he watches his team lose.  Well thee red sox made it to the world  series and i have been staying awake watching them win tie and lose games.  It's the most nerve wracking thing i've done in weeks.
